The Russian Foreign Ministry is against UN Security Council interference in resolving internal problems in Côte d’Ivoire, said Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

He noted that the situation in Côte d’Ivoire could impact the African continent as a whole.

« We are all for the African countries coming together and working out arrangements that would seek to direct the situation into a political channel,  » – said Lavrov.
