Ivory Coast: Does smoking fish the traditional way cause cancer?

Smoked fish is a popular food in many of West Africa’s coastal communities.

The traditional smoking process, though, produces substances known to cause cancer.

In Ivory Coast[1], people are now being encouraged to use more modern and healthier methods.
