A French Division 4 football club, Levallois SC, would on Wednesday name their new stadium Didier Drogba Stadium after Ivory Coast and Chelsea goal scorer, Didier Drogba, according to Radio Monté Carlo.

Levallois Sporting management corroborated the aforementioned information that its new stadium will be named after the Ivorian icon during the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday, September 29 in the town of Levallois-Perret near Paris.

Drogba had played youth football with Levallois when he was 15, before relocating to Le Mans in 1997.

The club said Drogba has indicated he will be present at the naming ceremony.
